FASTING SCRIPTURES
O.T. Nehemiah Chapter 1 & 2
N.T. John Chapters 1 & 2

Why do we fast?

Fasting means the Biblical context means to abstain from food, for a given period of time. fasting doesn't just mean going hungry for a few days.

Fasting means abstaining not only from food, but also from other things that begs for our attention.

We abstain for the purpose of focusing our attention on God and what He has to say to us,

What does Fasting do for Us?

Consider a few excellent reasons for fasting
- To know God's will for our lives
- To respond to times of crisis
- To prepare for Ministry for Personal Cleaning
- For victory over temptation, habits and bondage
